The Art
of
Nostalgia
a memory
A feeling
My paintings are love letters to the small things that stay with us: the scrape of a rolling pin, the scent of fresh coffee, a fistful of broken crayons. Through hyperreal detail and playful color, I transform recipes and ingredients into core‑memory icons that bring feeling, nostalgia, and personality to your walls.

Christina McKenzie
Christina McKenzie is a Canadian fine artist whose work is rooted in memory, ritual, and the quiet theatre of everyday objects. She graduated with an Honours BFA from York University in 2005 and has spent the last 20 years working across creative fields, from design studios, interior design to cake aristry.
Today, she brings that experience back to the canvas, rendering recipes, ingredients, and familiar household tools in intimate hyperreal detail. Each piece feels like opening a drawer from your childhood—whimsical, grounded, and just a little bit bold.
